Fear is a boil, lance the motherfucker

i have been scared for some amount of time
is this a character flaw?
it took me time to re-accumulate those onionskins of confidence

then there were moments hanging off on The Big Bend at Summit Point Shenandoah when i thought
<>

and I took a few steps back,
ie ninja 250 instead of boxer 1100,
to make confidence-building that much easier

the track is your best friend right now ::
i go to Roger Lyles MotorcyclExcitement track days at SPR
they have a massage therapist, Abby
she’s helped me with forearm pump, anxiety-tension, plain fatigue

i dunno if crash severity is a factor
but besides 11-days at shock-trauma, i spent 4 months off work, phys ther, etc
accident september … in March back on 2 horses in 1 weekend, a Yami cruiser and an R6

now this will sound really gay, but i also created a collage
of images, photos, quotes etc all surrounding the accident,
just to get it out my head
to have a place to put it

might be it’s an idea to go easy on yourself
to not underestimate homework that might serve you well in processing this
in getting this shite under the hood
a lot of soldiers get intolerant with themselves
push too hard, push it down
yogi bear said to me:
“that which we resist, persists”

same river, many wells

recon the site
lance the boil
fuck it, drive on

gus

p.s. another plug for Code (forum re track nerves)… motherfucker knows how to clear your head, hands you the SnapOn tools
to do the job,
to lance the boil,
to understand,
to predict,
to prevent the freakouts,
to bias to Science without dissing the Art
