It happens in some corners that ..
=====================
DOG ATE MY HOMEWORK
Your Observations & Comments:
- I cannot get my elbows to drop as much as I can
- my lower body is not very stable with the tank
- I have to stretch a lot just to get the ball of my feet to touch the outside pegs
- focus on keeping the weight off the handlebars
- more pressure on the lower back
- I feel planted better when I have my footpeg on the arch
- hugging the tank adds unrequired lean to the bike
- I will try resting the outside arm against the tank
- I should have my shoulders more like that on the left on the diagram?
Others’ Comments:
- Try dropping your elbow towards the corner …
- Don’t worry about relaxing your outside arm on the tank
- your torso looks twisted in towards the bike
- get off your butt
- Unwrap your head from the “kiss the mirror”
Cause / Symptom:
- Are stiff arms are a cause or a symptom?
- Are non-descending elbows are a cause or a symptom?
- Is lower body instab (LBI) a cause or a symptom? How do you define LBI?
Benefits of the Plan:
Are you offering that arch v ball:
- Will help you feel locked on?
- Will help with stiff arms?
You mention weighting the outside peg so it seems possible you have some familiarity with Twist doctrine. So, if you were to ask yourself:
- How does my arch/peg plan fit in with “Active Suspension?”
- How does my arch/peg plan facilitate “Pivot-Steering?”
- Will arch/peg or ball/peg result in more efficient raising-the-bike leverage on corner exit?
- Will my plan make me feel better in non-fast (maint throttle or slow) corners?
- What repeatable results can I achieve that will challenge those coaches that favor ball/peg?
You have stomp pads, but “my lower body is not very stable with the tank.” If you’re bruising yer tackle, which part of your legs are most contacting the pads?

Dude, go to school.
What if they’re all part of a bigger picture?
What if it’s not elbow-this and kiss-that?
What if the kneebone’s connected to the hambone?
