Little Big Smokey needs adult supervision

Donnie, Pete

Saturday, I got Little Big Smokey started — but in 2 minutes he went knees-down, tits-up and took hisself a nap.

Little Big Smokey and I have been looking forward all week to emptying his fuel tank in anger.     We’re here in a Columbia MD business park for its wide-open acres of pavement.
Smokey fired right up. We enjoyed a couple fun laps around.  Then he decided to take a nap. Since then I haven’t been able to motivate him properly to fire back up.
So it’s been a spa day. I’ve been cleaning and lubricating his private parts while listening to an audiobook on horse-training.  I’m surprised we haven’t been sent packing by a rent-a-cop yet.
I tried kickstart, bumpstart, in-gear, in-neutral, choke-in, choke-out by hand, by itty-bitty vice-grips, fuel-on, fuel-off.  He’s got the same fuel he had in West Virginia. I haven’t perverted his mo-gas mix. No changes to his fluids.  I tried flooded, normal and dry-bone starving.
When he does turn over, it’s about 6 times, then the novelty wears off and the narcolepsy takes over. He sets his head back down on his cross-bar and zzzzzzzZz.
Last Wednesday night he fired up then lost his will to live after maybe max 2 minutes.
Except for the recent running, this is the same outcome as everytime I’ve tried to start him over the last coupla years.
We’re gonna pack up now and head home, and keep listening to this horse book, see if I learn anything towards learning secrets of The Two-Stroke Whisperer.
