Rider’s log

Rider’s Log
I used to organize my riding log by which set of tires and oil changes i was running.  ie,

  1. Pirelli Diablo Corsa
    1. 10w-30 synth @ 17300 20080701-0000-martes
      1. Track Day #15, #16
        • STT @ Beaverun 20081004-1200-sábado

I’d also record, conditions, like weather, and my personal state, esp “restedness”, ie bad night’s sleep:

  1. wx
    • just barely 70s, 40s @ night
      heavy rain the night before
    • light
      • BMNT ~0530h

Lastly, I’d record lessons-learned

  1. Dylan
    1. move like ballet  . . .  take the whole track in 2d or 3d gear
    2. doing track in single gear requires smoothness
    3. allows slowing down time & space, to do more things, think more thoughts at  a single time
  2. TomCutter
    1. “weight the outer peg”
    2. when i feel the bike going out from underneath me
      look into the curve

      1. failed to do this @ The Corkscrew, fixated on loss o control and failed to turn my head to the uphill where i needed
        to go
  3. teamProMotion
    1. find yer braking points, identify your turn-in points
    2. wrenchery w Kyle & Roger
    3. if wires / cables too tight, turn handlebars full lock left / right to loosen them up, instead of forcing them
    4. get same pegs each side for rider & pillion for interchangeability
