Vest is damaged beyond repairs … I feel its pain

errata:  I just downloaded the data from my TechAir Race Airbag vest thing.
It says that 1 of its squibs (cartridges) deployed.
So how did I get so worst-barfight-ever busted up, 4 months off work and all?

——

EMT Greg sliced off my RS Taichi race leathers & Alpinestars TechAir airbag system … like so much cheap papaya
My port-side torso had become a bag of bones.
Alpinestars 100kmh (60mph) threshold left me judged harshly on our technical Shenandoah Circuit … in judge-full spite it chose to not ignite
Datalogger says that NICK-THE-BIKE and I were coursing at 83kmh (49mph) right before corner-worker George watched me
“Peter Pan over the handlebars”
skyward and before NICK T-boned behind bike #33.
What of my math homework?
Given, airbag-deploy ignite thresholds:
Alpinestars > 100kmh
Dainese > 50kmh
Where:
50kmh < x < 100kmh
And x = 83kmh
=> Peter Pan, into no-mans-land
Did I Peter-Pan into the dead-spot between messers Alpinestars & Dainese
Alpinestars’ email reply:
“Vest is damaged beyond repairs due to the integrity of the protection is now compromised.”
Yeah, I know the feeling
The TechAir portal shows last firmware update available is from 2019.
Surgery next Monday
