Turn 4 on Summit Point Raceway Main Circuit is a fast downhill right-hander, aka “The Chute”.
So, amongst a race of riders, I make an assertive, clean, inside pass on Coach Forrest right at corner turn-in.
I enter The Karussel, Turn 5, tight tight left-hander.
In Turn 6, leaned-over, I see the out of the corner of my eye Coach Forrest’s shocking white helmet and his front wheel. He’s gaining on me.
He rolls up even with me. He looks right to me. I look left to him. His eyes smile.
Leaned-over, at 55 miles an hour, eyes a-crease, Coach Forrest flips me the bird.
